Pauline Bewick was born in England, and raised on a farm in Co. Kerry. She studied at the NCAD and held her first retrospective
exhibition at the Guinness Store House in 1986. From 1989 to 1991 she lived in Polynesia with her two daughters. In 1996 the
RHA exhibited the Yellow Man series of paintings, a theme that later evolved to include sketches, watercolours, oils, tapestries,
stained glass, music and theatre and this collection now numbers more than 700 items. This large work formed the centerpiece
of her very successful recent Yellow Man Exhibition in Waterford.
